On labor Day weekend, I'll be joining almost 50 other men on a 3-day missions trip to Wabash Valley Correctional Facility.

The program is called Kairos.

We'll spend the holiday weekend with 42 inmate leaders and most will be "negative leaders" (gang leaders, etc.) who are not Christians. The participants will experience the love of Christ expressed through the volunteers, special meals, and lots of cookies.

We'll distribute almost 50,000 homemade cookies to offenders and staff at Wabash. If you'd like to help bake cookies, use the recipe here, package the cookies in plastic baggies, and drop them off at the radio station at 5th and Walnut in downtown Evansville. Cookies must be dropped off during business hours. Cookie deadline is 5PM Wednesday August 27.

We've also set up a prayer vigil for the weekendand you can sign up online at www.WabashKairos.org and click pn the prayer vigil link on the menu.

If you have questions or would like to make a financial donation, send me an email.
